Job summary

Shipt is seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer to build features for the Member App across the mobile stack, delivering reliable and valuable mobile capabilities. You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and leverage AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining high quality.

You will lead multi-team initiatives, collaborate with Backend, Product, UX, and Data Scientists, and own roadmaps for scalable mobile solutions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with React Native.
• Strong testing fundamentals (unit, integration, and e2e).
• Experience with Real User Monitoring (RUM) and observability tools like Datadog.
• CI/CD experience with CircleCI, Drone, or similar.
• Experience in Native mobile iOS or Android engineering.
• Experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate boilerplate code, tests, and docs.
• Experience with accessibility best practices for mobile.

Responsibilities

• Transform hi-fidelity designs and requirements into accurate, working features.
• Design features that combine React Native with native iOS/Android engineering.
• Collaborate with Backend, Product, UX, and Data Scientists to power user experience.
• Architect reliable, performant RN solutions and reusable components.
• Own technical roadmaps and drive interoperability across teams.
