Ladders seeks a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to shape ML initiatives across a large-scale consumer platform. This remote role partners with engineering leaders to improve content discovery and growth outcomes through scalable training and serving infrastructure.

You will lead model quality, experimentation, and drive technical roadmaps, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of ML engineering experience.
• Expertise in recommender modeling and transformer architectures.
• Experience with high-QPS, latency-constrained ML systems.
• Proven track record in industry-grade software engineering.
• Strong mentoring and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth content science sub-areas.
• Drive ML model improvements through A/B testing.
• Own the health of the ML ecosystem, including training and serving infrastructure.
• Raise technical excellence through mentorship and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives.
• Form technical direction and roadmaps with engineering leaders.
• Operate autonomously in complex environments.
• Identify and apply state-of-the-art techniques from research.
