Job summary

Waymo is seeking an experienced machine learning and computer vision engineer to advance the Waymo Driver stack in a hybrid role reporting to a Technical Lead Manager. You will own scalable ML tasks, analyze real-world model behavior, and contribute to AI-assisted debugging tools.

The role requires a strong background in ML/CV, Python, and at least 5 years of experience, with preferred MS/PhD and publications in top venues. Competitive salary and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS or a related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
• Proficient in Python and ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own tasks in the ML Driver, scale tasks and improve performance.
• Analyze behavior of ML systems in real-world applications and diagnose issues.
• Monitor production ML systems and develop AI-assisted analysis and debugging tooling.
• Develop and maintain metrics for ADV-relevant issues, including safety-critical ones.
