Job summary

SailPoint seeks a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to shape, build, and scale AI-powered capabilities across our identity platform. You will lead end-to-end ML initiatives, from model design to deployment, while mentoring others and advancing governance and responsible AI.

You will partner with engineering, AI, and product teams to drive ML strategy and ensure reliable data access, observability, and efficient compute usage across SailPoint’s ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in ML engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Experience deploying ML models at production scale (cloud preferred).
• Strong grasp of data modeling, feature engineering, and statistics.
• Experience with data pipelines and ETL (Spark, Airflow, dbt).
• Knowledge of MLOps: monitoring, retraining, CI/CD, experiment tracking.
• Solid software engineering practices: testing, modularity, code review, observability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration, with cross-functional leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize ML models for production use.
• Translate research into scalable production systems.
• Improve model accuracy and generalization across regions and data sets.
• Build ML infrastructure and pipelines for training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Define reproducibility, versioning, data lineage, and CI/CD for ML.
