Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development or equivalent domain expertise with service-oriented and large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience serving as a technical lead, providing direction, leading multi-team initiatives, and mentoring.
• Experience building/operating production ML platforms including model training, serving, orchestration, or ML data systems.
• Strong product instincts and business context understanding.
• Excellent communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with ML engineers, data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Comfort working autonomously in ambiguous environments and using AI tools to accelerate work.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end architecture and system design for large, complex ML Platform projects.
• Define technical direction for ambiguous projects and translate user needs into platform strategy.
• Design architectures for ML Platform challenges, including training, serving, orchestration, and feature stores.
• Turn ideas into robust solutions shaping platform and product roadmaps.
• Lead large projects from requirements through design, implementation, and production operation.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams to translate needs into scalable tech solutions.
• Arbitrate decisions balancing latency, reliability, cost, and security constraints.
• Represent engineering, advise leadership on ML lifecycle considerations.
• Drive cross-team initiatives to improve ML development velocity and MLOps maturity.
• Mentor and grow engineers, modeling best practices in software systems.
