Job summary

SB Energy is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead the design development of mechanical and plumbing systems for large-scale, mission-critical data center campuses. You will establish and evolve engineering standards, specifications, and design frameworks to enable scalable procurement and delivery across a growing portfolio.

You will oversee equipment submittals, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with architecture, electrical, procurement, construction, and operations to ensure

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• PE license preferred for leadership of projects.
• Experience leading mechanical and plumbing system design for data centers or large facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development of mechanical and plumbing systems for large-scale data center campuses.
• Review equipment submittals for conformance to standards and coordinate across disciplines.
• Collaborate with regional design/execution teams to capture lessons and improve future designs.
• Develop and standardize SOOs in coordination with controls/automation teams.
• Lead value engineering to balance cost, constructability, reliability, and performance.
• Create tools and processes to improve engineering efficiency and quality.
