Job summary

SRC, Inc. is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to support DoW programs involving vulnerability and execution option ideation and evaluation of integrated technology for end-to-end WMD/HDBT programs.

The role requires collaboration across government, military, and contractor teams to conceptualize and transition technologies through TRLs. The candidate will perform structural analyses, 3D facility characterization, and design verification, contributing to sensor technology development from

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; 8+ years of experience.
• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance or eligible at time of application.
• Experience with blast effect modeling and simulation for alternatives and development of capabilities.
• Experience with equipment or structure design principles.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D structural design tools.
• Experience reviewing structural drawings.
• Familiarity with military specifications for technical design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Structural analysis, blast door response, support and production equipment fragility and WMD facility systems analysis (mechanical).
• 3D facility characterization.
• Test design and data analysis, concrete/rock damage modeling, and improve models from testing and evaluation results.
• Analyze functions against requirements; provide initial solution courses of action.
• Contribute to R&D and integration of new sensor technologies from concept to prototype evaluation and fielding support.
