Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to support development and production of missile system shipping and storage containers. You will lead the IPT and create CREO layouts, drawings, and design documentation.

Responsibilities include building BOMs in Windchill PLM, managing drawing releases, handling CRs, and guiding supplier qualification to ensure on-time delivery. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, active Secret Clearance, 5+ years Creo experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Proven knowledge of industry practices and related disciplines.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5 with complex tolerance analysis.
• Minimum 5 years of Creo or equivalent 3D CAD experience.
• Ability to generate drawings, documents, parts lists, and specifications.
• Ability to lead major projects and engage with senior personnel.
• Ability to lead investigative efforts and report status.

Responsibilities

• Develop CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and test articles.
• Build BOMs and manage parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM.
• Lead IPT, suppliers, GSC, and analysts to ensure design excellence.
• Manage drawing releases, respond to CRs, generate CNs, and support design reviews.
• Perform design trade studies evaluating cost, weight, performance, and thermal/structural benefits.
• Lead supplier qualification and development to meet requirements and delivery timelines.
