Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design ground and flight hardware mechanical/structural components and subsystems that meet customer requirements and LMSSC best practices. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years mechanical design/integration experience.
• Knowledge of composite structure design and fabrication.
• Proficient with mechanical CAD tools (CREO) and CM tools (PDM/ePDM).
• Proficient with drafting standards, GD&T, and communication skills.
• US citizenship to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design ground/flight hardware mechanical/structural components and subsystems per requirements and LMSSC practices.
• Prepare and release engineering drawings using CREO and EPDM (or equivalent).
• Coordinate design packages with PMP, stress, systems engineering, manufacturing, product assurance, and data management.
• Incorporate redlines, release changes, federate parts/materials in EPDM, and support engineering reviews.
