CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Material Planner to support production planning, material availability, and inventory optimization for a satellite communications product line. You will balance supply and demand, develop material strategies, and coordinate with engineering, operations, and finance to meet customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of material planning, production planning, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
• Understanding of MRP, demand planning, inventory optimization, production scheduling, and supply planning methodologies.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and business reporting tools.
• Analytical thinking to evaluate inventory performance, material requirements, and supply risks.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple planning priorities and material requirements.
• Effective communication and collaboration across multiple functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent.
• Experience with BI/Reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated material plans that support production schedules and delivery requirements.
• Analyze material requirements, inventory levels, demand forecasts, and supply commitments.
• Evaluate inventory performance and implement corrective actions for shortages or excess inventory.
• Support planning activities for new product introductions, design changes, and production transitions.
• Coordinate with operations and manufacturing to support schedules and material readiness.
• Identify material constraints and propose recovery plans to balance demand and supply.
• Support production planning, inventory replenishment, and material allocation activities.
• Maintain planning data within ERP and MRP systems.
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality, and finance to meet objectives.
• Communicate shortages, schedule impacts, and recovery plans to stakeholders.
• Work with suppliers and supply chain teams to resolve material availability issues.
• Maintain planning documentation, reports, and material status updates.
• Drive planning process improvements and operational initiatives.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across relevant teams.
