Job summary

CesiumAstro is hiring a Staff Material Planner to drive production and supply planning for satellite communications equipment. You will balance supply and demand, optimize inventory, and coordinate material availability to meet customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., SCM, Operations, Logistics).
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of material planning, production planning, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
• Understanding of MRP, demand planning, inventory optimization, production scheduling, and supply planning methodologies.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and business reporting tools.
• Analytical thinking to evaluate inventory performance, material requirements, and supply risks.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and data.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Experience with BI/data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated material plans to support production schedules and delivery.
• Analyze material requirements, inventory levels, demand forecasts, and supply commitments.
• Evaluate inventory performance and implement corrective actions for shortages or excess.
• Support planning for new product introductions and production transitions.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure material readiness and schedule alignment.
• Identify constraints and recover plans to balance supply and demand.
• Manage procurement data and material status in ERP/MRP systems.
• Collaborate across functions to meet material planning objectives.
• Communicate shortages and risks to stakeholders.
• Work on planning process improvements and data-driven opportunities.
