Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to steer producibility decisions and optimize Space Vehicle design on the LM400 line. The role supports multiple programs, aligning design for manufacturing with rate production and collaborating with assembly, test, and launch teams to standardize DFx practices.

The position requires experience in CAD and ERP systems, GD&T, and the ability to obtain necessary DoD clearances.

Qualifications

• BS in a STEM field from an accredited college.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with design for producibility (DFx/DFm) principles.
• Direct experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar technical authority in Assembly, Test and Launch Operations.
• Working knowledge of CAD systems and Manufacturing ERP systems (CREO, Automated Framework, VE-CAMs).
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance to access classified information.

Responsibilities

• Steer design decisions to enable producibility and production success.
• Support Space Vehicle design optimization on the LM400 Product Line.
• Support multiple programs driving Systems and Integration Design for Manufacturing and Rate Production.
• Collaborate with Assembly Test and Launch to standardize the DFx approach for Space Vehicle Integration and Assembly.
• Provide cost trades during design cycles to describe and defend producibility choices.
