Job summary

Micro Systems Engineering, Inc. seeks a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to develop and qualify new processes and equipment for electronic module assembly, emphasizing sustainability and profitability.

You will design experiments, implement automation, define process specs, model manufacturing flows, and lead MES integration, collaborating with internal and external customers to ensure scalable production and robust quality.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Materials Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in electronics manufacturing (SMT preferred).
• Experience with Design of Experiments for problem solving and optimization.
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing materials.
• Experience with automated equipment implementation and support.
• Experience with automated assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and performs experiments/DOEs to optimize and qualify new processes.
• Identify and implement automation, semi-automation, and handling improvement opportunities.
• Define requirements and specifications for processes and equipment.
• Model and simulate manufacturing flows.
• Specify, evaluate, select, and implement new equipment.
• Identify and optimize equipment or process performance for efficiency and capacity.
• Integrate MES with manufacturing equipment.
• Develop and deploy performance information systems based on MES or interface software.
• Specify and execute installation, operation, and production qualification plans.
• Assess, specify and deploy process control procedures.
• Lead technical activities for processes and systems.
• Develop new and innovative ideas with competitive value.
