Job summary

Advanced Micro Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own the existing and new manufacturing and test processes for sensors and analyzers.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Responsibilities include developing and documenting processes, supporting production, leading improvement projects, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or related.
• 5–10 years of manufacturing engineering experience for highly engineered products.
• Proven ability to transfer products from engineering to volume production.
• Experience leading process improvements and root cause investigations.
• Experience with automated test equipment (ATE), test fixtures, and data acquisition systems.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and ability to produce engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, maintain manufacturing processes and test methods.
• Support daily production by resolving issues affecting quality, throughput, safety, or delivery.
• Lead process-improvement projects for productivity, quality, cost reduction.
• Evaluate and implement fixtures, tooling, and automation opportunities.
• Ensure processes meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support product transfer from Engineering to production.
• Collaborate with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements.
• Develop transfer plans, validation protocols, and release docs.
• Support test systems and equipment maintenance.
