Job summary

Medial Group is seeking a manufacturing engineer to provide technical and sustaining support within a medical-device manufacturing setting. You will drive equipment and process improvements to boost production efficiency and quality, while leading validation and process characterization activities.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with automated systems such as PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years may be considered.
• Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and sustaining engineering support within manufacturing operations.
• Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiency, quality, and yields.
• Support process optimization initiatives through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Lead or support feasibility studies, material and process selection, tooling and fixture development, and equipment installation activities.
• Assess manufacturing inputs and outputs to ensure alignment with quality requirements.
• Manage and support process changes to improve performance and efficiency.
• Support automated systems including PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, sensors, motion controls, robots, and servos.
• Troubleshoot technologies such as laser welding, ultrasonic joining, bonding, sealing, packaging, cleaning, and injection molding.
• Develop, execute, and support validation activities including IQ, OQ/PQ, Process Characterization, and CSV.
• Ensure processes meet company standards, FDA regulations, and quality system requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Validation, and Operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical project execution.
