Job Summary

As an Ambulatory Nursing Manager, you will focus on ensuring the clinical specialty program runs efficiently and cost-effectively. You will handle policy execution, budget oversight, quality enhancement measures, and organize educational programs to meet departmental and company goals.

Essential Functions of the Role

You will coordinate patient care, promote evidence-based practices, conduct research, and advocate for patients, families, and staff. You will manage department operations, including budgeting and staffing, and ensure the clinical specialty program runs efficiently and cost-effectively. You will also be accountable for creating a supportive work environment for the nursing team, emphasizing top-notch nursing practices, and ensuring a safe space for patients, families, and staff.

Key Success Factors

Solid understanding of nursing, patient care, medical terminology, ethics, and privacy laws is essential. Knowledge of caring for different age groups is crucial. Good communication, decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, professionalism, dedication, and community service are key for success.

Location/Facility: Baylor Scott & White Health, McKinney, Texas

Specialty/Department: Multispecialty Center and Pain Management

Shift/Schedule: Full-time days, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with flexibility as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the field
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support certification (or obtain within 30 days of starting)
  • Preferred: Nurse Supervisor and/or Nurse Manager experience
