Overview

Texas Oncology is seeking a Virtual Triage Nurse (RN) to support our Virtual Care Program. This remote position is open to candidates across Texas and beyond, provided you hold an RN license recognized by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Role Responsibilities
  • Respond to patient calls, portal messages, and emails promptly regarding symptoms and side effects.
  • Assess urgency and manage symptoms to prevent unnecessary ER visits.
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly.
  • Provide clear instructions and education over the phone.
  • Collaborate with physicians via electronic communication or face-to-face to address complex care needs.
  • Schedule appointments for symptom management as needed.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • At least 3 years of oncology nursing experience.
  • Current RN license in Texas or recognized state.
  • Current CPR certification.
Working Conditions

Remote work in a typical office environment with exposure to clinical hazards such as blood-borne pathogens and medications. Must be able to perform computer-based tasks and physical activities including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
