Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a Staff Layout Designer in Richardson, TX to help design advanced memory/layout cells and ensure optimal manufacturability.

You will work with Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Integration, Probe and Assembly to deliver reliable, cost-efficient layouts on schedule. The ideal candidate has a B.S.EE with 4+ years or an M.S.EE with 2+ years, strong CMOS/VLSI layout experience, and proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso and LVS/DRC tools.

Qualifications

• B.S.EE with 4+ years of experience or M.S.EE with 2+ years.
• CMOS circuit design and VLSI coursework.
• Experience crafting physical layout of circuits.
• Proficiency with layout synthesis and place-and-route techniques.
• Knowledge of LVS/DRC tools such as Calibre.

Responsibilities

• Proactively design layouts to optimize manufacturing cost, quality and time-to-market.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering and Product Engineering teams.
• Apply CAD tools to implement place-and-route and verify layouts.
• Drive innovation in layout processes and tooling.
