Job summary
Relativity Space is seeking a Staff Launch Structural Engineer to design and deliver launch and test site infrastructure at our Cape Canaveral, FL or Long Beach, CA locations. You will lead civil/structural design, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure alignment with project requirements through drawings, calculations, and reports.
The role requires a BS in civil/structural engineering, 8+ years in aerospace or related fields, a Professional Engineer license, and proficiency with AutoCAD,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering or related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in civil/structural design in aerospace, construction, or related engineering industry.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and working knowledge of relevant codes.
Responsibilities
- Develop civil and structural designs for launch/test site infrastructure, including drawings, specs, calculations, design docs and reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams to integrate architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and other requirements.
- Apply engineering principles to support infrastructure design for launch/test operations.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to coordinate infrastructure requirements during processing and operations.
- Provide technical engineering support through procurement, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
- Review technical information and construction docs to identify issues or required changes.
