Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Structural Engineer, Launch Infrastructure (Starship) based in Cape Canaveral, FL. You will join the Starship Launch Engineering team to design, build, and activate infrastructure enabling orbital launch capabilities for the largest rocket in the world.

You will develop drawings and reports, perform steel and concrete calculations, coordinate permits, manage field construction, and work with a multi-disciplinary team to meet scope, budget, and schedule while solving design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering
• 1+ years of professional experience in structural design or infrastructure
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial structural projects
• Perform calculations for steel and reinforced concrete design
• Drive permitting coordination with local, state, and federal authorities
• Manage structural aspects of construction projects in the field with quality control
• Coordinate with contractors, fabricators, owners, and internal clients on requirements, schedule, and cost estimates
• Own budget and schedule for a scope within a multi-disciplinary team
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in real time
