Okta in San Francisco is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Device Identity (Java) to architect and scale server-side services at the heart of our security platform. You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and own features end-to-end from conception to deployment in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience with Java and Spring.
Experience building scalable server-side features and APIs.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of new features and services within our core Java platform.
Mentor engineers through code reviews and establish a high quality bar for security and reliability.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and QA to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
Define and champion engineering best practices and contribute to architectural decisions.
Develop high-quality, maintainable software with thorough test coverage and CI/CD improvements.
