Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Device Authenticators team. You will architect and scale client-side Android/Kotlin software at the heart of our security platform, taking ownership from concept to deployment and mentoring others.

You’ll collaborate across Product, Design, and QA, define engineering best practices, and contribute to tests, CI/CD, and AI-native development approaches that keep security and performance at the forefront.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years designing and building scalable Android features in Kotlin.
• Proven track record building secure, high-quality Android applications and APIs for large-scale mobile systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and QA to deliver key engineering initiatives.
• Lead design and implementation of new features within the Android/Kotlin platform from concept to deployment.
• Define and champion engineering best practices and contribute to long-term architectural decisions.
• Mentor and coach other engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Develop high-quality software with comprehensive test coverage and CI/CD improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and foster knowledge sharing across the team.
• Champion AI-native engineering practices within the PDLC to accelerate delivery while maintaining security and code quality.
