CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer - Java to lead the design, development and modernization of enterprise-scale healthcare platforms. This role requires a strong technical leader who can drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver highly available, secure, scalable applications that support millions of customers.

As a Staff Engineer, you will partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations and Engineering teams to build innovative solutions that

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software development experience in a large-scale distributed environment.
7+ years of hands-on Java application development experience, including modern Java ecosystem frameworks.
5+ years of Java, Spring Boot development experience.
5+ years of enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs.
3+ years of experience with CI/CD Pipeline automation.
3+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on technical feasibility, performance, and scalability objectives.
Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and best practices.
Coordinate with team members to ensure alignment and technical insights for decisions.
