Job summary

the company is seeking a Staff Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer to join a small, high-trust platform team. You will own the AWS/GCP footprints, connect cloud to printers, manage Terraform, and lead CI/CD improvements from PR to production.

You will drive reliability, practice strong operational standards, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product teams to deliver scalable infrastructure across cloud and edge environments.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure with deep AWS or GCP expertise.
• Strong networking fundamentals including VPCs, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and secure cloud-to-edge connectivity.
• Expert-level Terraform with module design, state management, and migrations without downtime.
• Hands-on CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including performance and safe deployment patterns.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise with production-scale clusters and multi-tenant strategies.
• Experience with a service mesh (Istio) and mTLS, traffic management, and mesh observability.
• Fluency in Linux and containers and scripting languages (Python/Go/Bash).
• Production mindset: reliability, cost, observability, and pager-ready systems.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration, with track record of delivering major initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operate & Extend Multi-Cloud Infrastructure: own AWS and GCP environments, ensuring resilience, cost-efficiency, and security while expanding to support new products.
• Build the Network Between Cloud and Printer: design and maintain networking, including VPCs, peering, DNS, load balancing, TLS, and secure edge connectivity.
• Run Services on Kubernetes with Istio: own clusters and service mesh, improve architecture, isolation, traffic management, and observability.
• Own Infrastructure as Code in Terraform: end-to-end Terraform initiatives, module design, state health, and safe rollout.
• Ship Software Faster and Safer with CI/CD: lead Jenkins and GitHub Actions improvements for faster builds and safer deployments.
• Own Reliability Alongside the Product Teams: participate in on-call, incident response, and postmortems to drive permanent fixes.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: translate product needs into robust designs, review code, and mentor engineers.
