Job summary

Carbon is seeking a Staff Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer to own the platform that underpins its cloud and printer integrations. You will steward our AWS/GCP footprints, networks, Terraform modules, and CI/CD pipelines, driving reliability and engineering excellence across teams.

You will mentor engineers, lead on-call initiatives, and shape IaC standards while partnering with product teams to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure at scale.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years building and operating production cloud infrastructure.
• Expert in at least one cloud (AWS or GCP) with proficiency in the other.
• Strong networking fundamentals and secure connectivity knowledge.
• Expert-level Terraform and scalable state management.
• CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Production-grade Kubernetes and Istio experience.
• Proficiency in Linux and scripting (Python/Go/Bash).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate and extend multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Design and maintain network connectivity between cloud and printers.
• Own Kubernetes clusters and Istio service mesh, improve reliability.
• Own Terraform modules and IaC standards, migrations without downtime.
• Improve Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines for faster, safer deployments.
• Lead on-call incidents and postmortems for platform reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers across teams.
