Job summary

Harvey is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Core Infrastructure team in San Francisco, focusing on building scalable, multi-cloud infrastructure that powers our enterprise AI platform. You will shape systems across Azure and GCP, emphasizing reliability, security, and observability.

You will lead critical initiatives, mentor teams, and drive production excellence while collaborating with security and product engineering to accelerate delivery. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Infrastructure/Platform Engineering in production.
• Experience building and scaling large distributed systems.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP ok).
• Strong IaC skills with Terraform, Pulumi, and CloudFormation.
• Kubernetes expertise and container orchestration.
• Observability and incident response experience (Datadog, Sentry).
• Proficient in Python or Go; excellent problem solving and ops mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure for Harvey's AI platform.
• Own multi-cloud infra (Azure, GCP); manage Kubernetes, networking, containers.
• Lead observability, incident response, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Architect reliable distributed systems with load balancing and failover.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Security to accelerate development.
• Drive IaC with Terraform and Pulumi for reproducible deployments.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical bar through reviews.
