Staff Industrial Engineer

Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain Operations in the United States. This hybrid role requires 2 days onsite per week at a home site (Aurora, IL or Bethlehem, PA) with up to 30% travel to other sites.

You will lead lean initiatives across the warehouse network and guide cross-functional teams to eliminate waste. You will develop programs, provide floor support, and implement data-driven improvements, including CAD drawings and SOP documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional Industrial Engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
• Experience in project management.
• Basic 2D/3D CAD software skills.
• Up to 30% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
• Improve efficiency of fulfillment and transportation processes.
• Evaluate, develop estimates, financial proposals, and manage projects.
• Lead corrective and preventive action teams from customer and internal quality issues.
• Provide floor-level support, troubleshoot, and guide process-improvement teams.
• Develop CAD drawings, process flow charts, cost-saving analyses.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on new processes and equipment planning.
• Define and document Standard Operating Procedures for new/modified processes.
• Identify barriers to process-improvement goals and remove them.
• Manage data collection and analysis for project tracking.
• Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management best practices and policies.
