Job summary

Lucid Motors in the United States is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer, High Voltage Battery Software to drive development and integration of the proprietary BMS software for safety-critical, real-time vehicle systems.

You will bridge early prototypes to production, collaborating with hardware, controls, and verification teams to define robust requirements and deliver reliable energy storage solutions across Lucid vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years in BMS or energy storage embedded systems.
• Deep understanding of BMS including SoC/SoH/SOP and fault diagnostics.
• Ability to derive low-level requirements from high-level system needs.
• Experience with MBSE and automotive software toolchains.
• Experience with cross-functional software integration and HIL testing.

Responsibilities

• Translate vehicle-level requirements into verifiable BMS and energy storage requirements.
• Conduct system analyses and simulations to craft robust BMS architectures.
• Collaborate on safety analyses (FMEA/FTA) for fault-tolerant embedded systems.
• Define verification procedures and pass/fail criteria with V&V teams.
• Utilize telemetry data to monitor battery performance and diagnose anomalies.
• Develop OTA mitigations and manage configuration/version control.
