Job summary

GreenWave Radios, headquartered in San Diego, is seeking a Staff Hardware Design Engineer to design and develop PCB circuitry for next-generation, high-performance cellular base stations. You will work on board-level hardware that integrates with our custom silicon—spanning digital processing, SerDes, power management, and RF transmission/reception.

This hands-on role offers growing ownership: you will execute PCB design from schematic to production, collaborating with analog, digital, and RF

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing mixed signal circuits in hardware engineering
• BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Proven PCB schematic and layout design in high-speed RF/analog
• Hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro
• Strong grounding in signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management
• Knowledge of PCB fabrication processes and DFM best practices
• Experience mentoring junior designers and cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent communication across multiple domains

Responsibilities

• Execute PCB development from concept through production with growing ownership
• Design and implement RF, analog, digital, and power circuits for base station products
• Collaborate with domain experts on floor planning and PCB constraints
• Own schematic capture and PCB layout, participate in design reviews
• Optimize PCB stack-up for performance and cost
• Develop and maintain schematic symbols and footprints
• Improve PCB development flow for quality and productivity
• Participate in PCB vendor engagement and DFM reviews
• Drive board bring-up and debug with structured analysis
