Job summary

GreenWave Radios, a division of InnoPhase Inc., is seeking a Staff Hardware Design Engineer to design and develop PCB circuitry for next‑generation cellular base stations. You’ll own board‑level hardware that integrates with our custom silicon, including digital processing, high‑speed SerDes, power management, and RF front‑end.

You’ll drive PCB development from schematic to production, collaborate with analog, digital, and RF experts, and mentor junior designers.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience designing mixed-signal circuits in hardware engineering.
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong PCB schematic and layout design for high-speed RF/analog.
  • Cadence Allegro experience.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers.

Responsibilities

  • Execute PCB development from concept through production, with increasing ownership over design decisions
  • Design and implement RF, analog, digital, and power circuits for high-performance base station products
  • Collaborate with domain experts on floor planning and PCB constraints for seamless integration
  • Own schematic capture and PCB layout, and participate in design reviews
  • Optimize PCB stack-up for performance and cost
  • Develop and maintain schematic symbols and component footprints
  • Contribute to and improve the PCB development flow for better quality and productivity
  • Participate in PCB vendor engagement and DFM reviews
  • Drive board bring-up and debug, escalating complex issues with structured analysis

We're looking for a talented Staff Hardware Design Engineer to design and develop PCB circuitry for next-generation, high-performance cellular base stations. You'll work on the board-level hardware that integrates with our custom silicon --- spanning digital processing, high-speed SerDes, power management, and RF transmission/reception --- helping deliver solutions that are high-reliability and power-efficient.

This is a hands-on technical role with growing ownership: you'll execute PCB design from schematic to production, collaborating closely with domain experts across analog, digital, and RF to bring the hardware together.

What You’ll Do
  • Execute PCB development from concept through production, with increasing ownership over design decisions
  • Design and implement RF, analog, digital, and power circuits for high-performance base station products
  • Collaborate with domain experts on floor planning and PCB constraints for seamless integration
  • Own schematic capture and PCB layout, and participate in design reviews

What You Bring
  • 8 years of relevant experience designing mixed signal circuits in a hardware engineering role
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/training
  • Proven track record in PCB schematic and layout design, ideally in high-speed and RF/analog applications
  • Hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro
  • Solid grasp of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management principles
  • Working knowledge of PCB fabrication processes and DFM best practices
  • Strong foundation in both analog and digital electronics
  • Experience mentoring junior designers and sharing technical knowledge across the team
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills --- you’ll work daily with experts across multiple domains
Nice to Have
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where innovation must align with real-world constraints
  • Exposure to AI-assisted EDA tools for schematic capture, layout optimization, or DFM checking
  • Comfort using AI copilots (e.g., Cadence's AI/ML-enabled Allegro features, or general LLM tools) to speed up documentation, datasheet parsing, or design-rule research
  • General comfort adopting AI-augmented workflows to boost design productivity --- this is a plus, not a requirement, for the right hands-on RF/analog expert
Compensation and Benefits

At InnoPhase, dba GreenWave Radios, our total rewards package includes both a competitive base salary and pre-IPO stock options. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including market conditions, interview performance, skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location.
