Job summary

Modern Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Growth Engineering to own and drive critical parts of our global client onboarding and access systems. You will work across Python backends, GraphQL/REST APIs, and front-end experiences with React/React Native, shaping scalable solutions for a fast-growing remote team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant software development experience.
• 2+ years production experience in full-stack web development, including Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native, and React
• Experience building and maintaining GraphQL and/or REST APIs
• Demonstrated ownership: decompose ambiguous problems and propose elegant solutions
• Experience mentoring and effectively working with distributed teams
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Truly full stack product development with a slight lean towards the backend
• Build and maintain GraphQL/APIs powered by Python services
• Implement web and mobile user experiences using React & React Native
• Engineer efficient and reusable systems for complex web/mobile apps
• Maintain HIPAA and GDPR compliance and security best practices
• Write and execute technical plans (tech specs/RFCs) for large projects
• Lead cross-team initiatives and coordinate dependencies
• Own launch timelines and roadmap commitments across teams
• Write and maintain technical docs, unit tests, and integration tests
• Mentor engineers to scale impact across Care Journey and engineering
• Participate in on-call and drive incident remediation
