Job summary

Modern Health is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for Growth Engineering. This fully remote role in the US focuses on building scalable client launches, identity/access, and configuration platforms.

You’ll own critical parts of the roadmap, translate ambiguous problems into clear plans, and collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to deliver a cohesive care experience. You’ll work across GraphQL/REST APIs, Python services, React/React Native front-ends, and cloud infrastructure

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant software development experience.
Demonstrated ownership of ambiguous problems and roadmaps.
Experience building and maintaining GraphQL and/or REST APIs.

Responsibilities

Truly full stack product development with a slight backend lean.
Build and maintain GraphQL APIs powered by Python services (Django, Flask).
Implement web and mobile experiences using React & React Native.
Write and maintain technical plans (tech specs/RFCs) for large projects.
Lead cross-functional projects and coordinate dependencies across teams.
Mentor other engineers to scale impact across Care Journey.
