Job summary
Northrop Grumman in Plymouth, MN is seeking an experienced GNC Engineer to design, develop and validate guidance, navigation and control algorithms for airborne, space and defense platforms. You will work across simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing and software integration to deliver robust flight control solutions.
The role requires advanced knowledge of control theory, MATLAB/Simulink, and hands-on experience with real hardware.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or closely related STEM discipline.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- 12+ years of relevant experience (or MS with 10+ years, PhD with 8+ years) in GNC or related field.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, implements, verifies and tests guidance, navigation and control algorithms for diverse platforms.
- Develops simulation tools, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and software requirements for aircraft, missiles and space systems.
- Analyzes equations to achieve desired position, orientation or orbit; formulates control laws and software requirements.
