Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a GNC Engineer to design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms and simulation tools for aircraft guidance, navigation, and control. The role involves creating control laws to meet performance and stability requirements and integrating models into HWIL simulations.

The position requires a STEM degree with experience, MATLAB proficiency, and an active TS clearance (or Continuous Evaluation). SAP clearance eligibility is also needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with required related engineering experience (Level 2) or Master’s with 0 years (Level 2).
• Experience using MATLAB to create, process, analyze, and visually represent data.
• Active US Government Top Secret clearance (or in Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance in time as required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, verify, and test GNC algorithms, software, and simulation tools.
• Develop control laws to meet air vehicle performance, flying qualities and stability margins.
• Create linear and nonlinear dynamic models and integrate into software/hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
