Job summary

Northrop Grumman Weapons Systems Division seeks an experienced GNC Engineer to support its Armament Systems site in Plymouth, MN, building and verifying guidance, navigation and control systems for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles and launch vehicles. The role requires deep expertise in GNC methods and a DoD security clearance, with potential for level 3 or 4 responsibilities.

The position offers thorough exposure to multi-domain guidance algorithms, state-space control, MATLAB/Simulink tooling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or a closely related field plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Or, Master of Science degree in engineering discipline or closely related field of study plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Or, Ph.D. in engineering discipline or closely related field of study plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, implements, verifies and tests GNC algorithms and software and simulation tools for guidance, navigation and control across multiple platforms.
• Develops navigation, guidance and control function algorithms and hardware/software requirements.
