Job summary

General Motors’ simulation team seeks a staff fullstack engineer to lead the technical direction of our Simulation Scenario Definition platform and its SDKs. You will shape architecture, build scalable graphical tools, and optimize Python infrastructure for large-scale cloud validation, while mentoring engineers to raise the bar.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development, with focus on large-scale platforms or tooling.
• Ability to lead technical architecture and drive multi-quarter projects to production.
• Strong front-end engineering for graphical apps using TypeScript (React or Vue) with WebGL/Three.js or MapboxGL.
• Expert Python proficiency including API/SDK development.
• Proven mentoring of mid-level and senior engineers to raise code quality.

Responsibilities

• Define the architectural roadmap for the Simulation Scenario Definition platform and its TypeScript/Python SDK.
• Design and implement next-generation graphical editing tools for engineers to define traffic, environment, and sensor scenarios.
• Advance Python infrastructure focusing on serialization, validation, and cloud integration for large-scale compute clusters.
• Mentor team, setting engineering excellence standards for API design, code quality, testing.
