Job summary

GitLab is hiring for a foundational engineering role in Data Products. You will own end-to-end platform systems, guiding architecture and delivery across multiple teams to build trusted data intelligence for developers and customers.

You will shape how data is ingested, modeled, and surfaced, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to define roadmaps and ensure operational readiness across GitLab.com, Dedicated, and Self-Managed.

Qualifications

• Experience influencing multiple engineering and product teams.
• Track record of delivering end-to-end platform features.
• Ability to design scalable data ingestion and graph models.

Responsibilities

• Architect how GitLab and third-party data is ingested and modeled.
• Lead integration with Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow and other tools.
• Architect the Data Marketplace for Snowflake, Databricks and BigQuery.
• Publish observability data as OpenTelemetry and share APIs.
• Define operational readiness for GitLab deployments (all variants).
• Translate ambiguous problems into concrete roadmaps with teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and improve delivery velocity.
