Healthie is hiring a Staff Full Stack Engineer to join our Core Engineering team. In this senior role, you’ll drive the evolution of Healthie’s platform, balancing modernization with pragmatic execution in a fast-moving healthcare environment.

You’ll partner with Product, Design, Data, Platform, and Engineering to architect, build, and scale systems powering healthcare workflows for providers and patients. The role spans backend, frontend, APIs, and platform improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling production software systems across legacy and greenfield environments.
• Strong full stack experience owning backend, frontend, APIs, and deployments across platforms.
• Direct experience with Rails/React/TypeScript/GraphQL/Postgres/Redis for production systems.
• Deep experience with architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in complex environments.
• Ability to evolve legacy systems while balancing business needs and technical debt.
• Collaborative, cross-functional partner with engineering, product, design, and operations teams.
• Comfort leading initiatives, mentoring engineers, and influencing architecture without formal authority.
• Thrives in fast-paced startup settings with pragmatic execution.
• Strong product and customer intuition focused on healthcare outcomes.
• Embody Healthie’s values and maintain a ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and scale Healthie’s platform across legacy and greenfield areas.
