Job summary

Prudentia Sciences is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead and build our core platform as we scale. You’ll serve as tech lead for the platform, ensuring biopharma customers gain transformative insights from our ML-driven deal analytics.

This role offers ownership of end-to-end product development, with frontend (React/Next.js) and backend (FastAPI/Node) responsibilities, deployed on AWS. You will collaborate with ML engineers, product teams, and domain experts to translate scientific logic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in CS or related field.
• End-to-end web app development with React/Next.js and a robust backend.
• Experience designing data-driven apps integrating APIs and ML backends.
• Frontend architecture with React Query/Redux/D3/Plotly for interactive UX.
• Backend/API engineering with REST/GraphQL, auth, and workflows.
• Databases: Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB with efficient data access.
• Cloud/DevOps in AWS/GCP/Azure; Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD.
• Security/compliance awareness for healthcare/life sciences contexts.
• Strong collaboration with ML engineers, product PMs, and domain experts.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end platform ownership from discovery to valuation.
• Develop front-end UX to manage deal pipelines and insights.
• Build backend services and orchestration for document processing.
• Create visualizations for scientific assessments and ML outputs.
• Design APIs between LLM orchestration and the platform.
• Ensure reliability and security on AWS or equivalents.
• Collaborate with ML, product, and domain experts on workflows.
• Champion CI/CD, testing, observability, and modular architecture.
