Job summary

Prudentia Sciences is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead our core platform. You will own end-to-end platform development, drive frontend and backend architecture, and coordinate with ML engineers to deliver data-driven insights for biopharma deal workflows.

You’ll build scalable, secure web applications using React/Next.js and FastAPI/Node.js, deployed on AWS with Docker/Kubernetes, while mentoring other engineers and advancing best practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctoral, Master's or Bachelor's in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• Full-stack experience: building modern web apps end-to-end (frontend & backend).
• Platform development: data-driven apps with APIs, async jobs, ML backends.
• Frontend/UX: component-based design and data visualization.
• Backend/API: RESTful/GraphQL APIs, auth, event-driven workflows.
• Data & security: relational and NoSQL databases; secure data handling.
• Cloud/DevOps: AWS or similar, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
• Collaboration: ability to work with ML engineers, product managers and domain experts.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform end-to-end: design, build, scale the web platform.
• Architect and implement intuitive, data-rich frontend interfaces.
• Develop backend services and orchestration for document ingestion, model runs, results delivery.
• Create dynamic visualizations of scientific assessments and ML-driven insights.
• Design clean, scalable APIs and integrate with ML backends.
• Ensure reliability, scale, and secure handling of data on cloud infra.
• Collaborate across teams to translate science and business logic into workflows.
• Champion best practices: testing, CI/CD, observability, modular architecture.
