Job summary

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to lead architecture for Marketplace engineering. You will drive scalable frontend and backend systems using React/TypeScript and Java, shaping user experiences and high‑availability services for third‑party sellers.

You will mentor teams, collaborate across geographies and ensure robust, compliant, observable cloud‑native solutions across Azure and GCP. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience and leadership in architecture for large platforms.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and modern frontend patterns including accessibility.
• Strong backend experience with Java (JDK 21), Spring Boot, Kafka, Cassandra and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and development of modern web apps using React/TypeScript.
• Design intuitive UX for complex payment workflows and ensure performance and accessibility.
• Build scalable backend services with Java, Spring Boot and Kafka powering marketplace platforms.
• Mentor engineers, set technical direction and raise engineering standards.
