Carbon Direct is hiring a Staff Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale the systems our customers rely on to overcome their carbon, climate strategy, and energy challenges.

You’ll work across the stack and with product, science, and business teams to ship AI-augmented software to production, owning features through discovery, prototyping, launch, and scale in a security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience across front-end, back-end, databases, and deployment.
• Experience building scalable systems from scratch.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and ship viable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy full-stack features end-to-end.
• Grow product surface area by building systems from the ground up.
• Prototype quickly to test hypotheses and decide what to rework.
• Harden prototypes for enterprise-scale deployment.
• Make architectural decisions with limited precedent.
• Ship production code regularly and ensure quality.
• Shape engineering practices and provide technical direction.
• Support AI-empowered contributors from non-engineering backgrounds.
