Job summary

Carbon Direct is hiring a Staff Full Stack Engineer to build and scale the systems that help clients master carbon, climate strategy, and energy challenges. You will work across the stack with product, science, and business teams to put AI-augmented software into production.

You will own the impact of what you ship, guiding features from discovery to launch, iteration, and scaling in a secure ISO 27001/SOC 2 environment with strong data protection and auditability.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering full-stack features across frontend and backend.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems with sound tradeoffs.
• Familiarity with AI-augmented software in production settings.
• Ability to scope problems and ship viable solutions quickly.
• Strong product instincts and business awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end full-stack features.
• Grow the product surface area with scalable systems.
• Prototype rapidly and decide what to rework or discard.
• Harden prototypes for enterprise-scale deployment.
• Make architectural decisions with limited precedent.
• Ship code to production regularly with quality and reliability.
• Provide technical direction as a senior voice within the team.
• Support and improve developer experience for AI-empowered contributors.
