Job summary

Mailchimp’s Experience Platform team designs abstractions, writes docs, and builds or adopts tools to empower a scalable frontend stack. The role partners with Design System and Engineering to improve build, deployment, performance, and quality across large codebases.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale development environments and frontend frameworks.
• Proficient with modern frontend technologies and able to work with legacy tech such as Dojo.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Fluent in agent-driven development and review of agent-generated output.
• Effective written communicator in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain shared frontend libraries including packaging, versioning, and distribution.
• Improve frontend engineering experience with patterns, testing, and tooling.
• Architect projects with micro frontend patterns, performance and accessibility.
• Design systems for observability and autonomous navigation of codebases.
• Establish coding and agent best practices to reduce low-quality agent output.
• Guide engineers to break work into pieces that can be executed reliably.
• Mentor and train engineers across a distributed team.
• Collaborate with departments to understand operational needs and solve complex problems.
• Stay current on tooling and patterns for managing infrastructure.
