Job summary

Compass is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in the Transaction Journey organization. You will apply deep frontend expertise to deliver a collaborative transaction management platform spanning forms, eSign, compliance review, and commissions processing.

You will lead design, development and cross-team collaboration, shaping product decisions, ensuring fault-tolerant, scalable systems, and mentoring others while driving architectural excellence with a strong emphasis on user-centric design.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of building high-performance frontend apps with TS/JS/HTML/CSS.
• 5+ years leading teams and delivering complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and own platform architecture and data ingestion for scalable search.
• Lead delivery of cross-team technical projects across the stack.
• Promote reliability KPIs and reduce technical debt and toil.
• Adopt modern patterns including AI, data pipelines, and telemetry.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural improvements.
