Job summary

Bags.fm is seeking a staff-level frontend engineer to own the design and evolution of large parts of our frontend architecture. This hands-on role focuses on building fast, reliable, and maintainable user-facing systems under real load, partnering closely with backend and Solana engineers.

You will lead complex frontend initiatives end to end, set a high bar for code quality and testing, and mentor teammates while shipping scalable React + Next.js applications at scale for hundreds of thousands

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production React applications at scale.
• Experience owning frontend systems used by large user bases, not just internal tools.
• Strong understanding of browser internals, rendering pipelines, and modern frontend tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve large-scale frontend systems using React and Next.js.
• Own performance, reliability, and correctness across critical user flows.
• Design frontend abstractions and patterns that scale with product complexity.
• Collaborate with backend and Solana engineers to define client-server boundaries.
• Lead complex frontend initiatives end to end from design to rollout.
• Set a high bar for code quality, testing, and operational readiness.
• Mentor and unblock other frontend engineers through reviews and pairing.
