Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend on the Advanced Trading team to own the front-end roadmap and define architecture for a high-performance trading platform across web and mobile. You will mentor senior engineers, drive performance improvements, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate business priorities into technical plans and ship high-impact features.

This role offers remote work within the United States.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with front-end frameworks (React/React Native) and mobile development.
Experience optimizing complex UI systems for performance at scale.
Leading technical strategy for a product area with multi-quarter initiatives.
Mentoring senior engineers and improving engineering standards and delivery velocity.
Familiarity with low-latency, high-availability trading or real-time data systems.

Responsibilities

Own the front-end technical roadmap for Coinbase Advanced trading platform.
Define architecture decisions enabling reliable, scalable web and mobile UI.
Drive performance, rendering, network, and state-management improvements.
Lead multi-quarter initiatives end-to-end with high code quality standards.
Mentor senior engineers and strengthen the subteam’s technical decision-making.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to ship high-impact features.
