Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Simple Trade Experience team. You will own the design and delivery of highly performant trading systems powering buy/sell/convert journeys for millions of users worldwide.

Partner with product and design to ship a best-in-class trading experience across web and mobile, while driving production service evolution and maintaining high availability at web scale.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience building production services.
Experience designing high-availability distributed systems for scalable trading or financial applications.
Strong backend focus with Java or Golang and data stores like MongoDB or Redis.
Ability to pair product thinking with observability and operational excellence.
Experience modernizing legacy systems into scalable platforms.

Responsibilities

Own the design and delivery of performant trading systems used by millions.
Architect extensible services supporting multiple trading types (Spot, Limit, Recurring).
Collaborate with product and design to ship a best-in-class trading experience across web and mobile.
Drive production service evolution and scale critical trading infrastructure.
Mentor teammates and raise engineering quality through code reviews.
