• 5+ years building consumer-facing web products with strong UI quality and user experience.
• Proficient in React, Next.js, and TypeScript; backend Node.js experience is a plus.
• Genuine care for user experience, fast load times, reliability, and cross‑device behavior.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for the Claude product and its features.
• Build and ship user-facing features for Claude's web and desktop experiences.
• Own the quality bar for product look and feel, prioritizing latency, reliability, and UX early in the process.
• Collaborate with product managers to understand user needs and tradeoffs.
• Iterate quickly based on user feedback and internal testing.
