Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Digital Engineer for the Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) group in Warner Robins, GA. The role focuses on leading digital circuit and FPGA development, collaborating across hardware, software and systems teams to deliver integrated solutions on sustainment and modernization programs.

The candidate will mentor engineers, develop simulations, and ensure designs meet stringent DoD and aviation sector requirements, while working on-site daily in Warner Robins,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school with a minimum of 12 years directly relevant experience; Master’s with 10 Years; PhD with 8 Year.
• Experience leading evaluation, selection, programming and testing of FPGAs for complex systems.
• Subject matter expertise in advanced digital design, including FPGAs.
• Experience developing simulation frameworks and test benches.
• Experience integrating and troubleshooting firmware with software and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of digital circuits and systems (FPGAs, CPLDs, ASICs).
• Generate and update digital system requirements and select components based on specs and reliability.
• Use modeling and simulation tools to expedite development and testing of firmware.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Implement rigorous testing and validation for digital designs to meet specs.
• Mentor junior engineers in digital design, including firmware and signal processing.
